Sevilla Travel Guide Recommended And Suggestion Blog – Spain Travel Articles – Part 1

I started with a general writing in the name of Spain History and Travel Notes for the trip related trip to Spain. You can find traces of Sevilla’s deep-rooted history, its magnificent palaces, and its fictional life in the Seville Travel Guide, the first post of writing in Barcelona, Madrid, Toledo, Sevilla, Cordoba and Granada.

Flight from Bergamo to Seville

I traveled from Istanbul to Milan, Italy to reach Sevilla, the farthest point I would travel in Spain. After making a one night stay in Bergamo, I returned to the airport to catch another flight at 06:00 in the morning.

I went down to the airport in Seville at the end of Ryanair’s two-hour Milan-Seville expedition. I set foot in Spain with sleepy eyes and a tired body. Well, I was on my way to reach Spain since 15:00, the hour I was at Sabiha Gökçen the previous day. This transfer at the beginning of the journey was still enjoyable no matter how tiring the adventure.

Triana Backpacker’s Hostel And First Impressions

I got off to the city center by bus from the airport and I gave myself a taxi cab with that tiredness. It was not hard to find a hostel called Backpacker’s Triana located in the south of the city. At first glance, I would remember the hostel and Seville city that did not mean much to me as the most special and enjoyable part of the trip afterwards.

The hostel looked very clean and tidy at first glance. There were china decorated with arabic figures on the walls of my hostel as well as on the street signs and on the street signs in Sevilla. I saw these kinds of decorations in all the cities I visited in southern Spain.

Triana Region and Guadalquivir River

I learned that Triana, the area where I had mixed up the guide book a bit, was actually the gypsy neighborhood of the city in the past. Seville, and especially the southern part of the city, Triana has contributed greatly to the flamenco music culture development.

I traveled throughout the day in the Triana region and Guadalquivir coast. I met the Avenida de la constuticion boulevard in front of the cathedral of Seville. I would spend the long hours of my time in Seville watching this work on the moving street, read or chat.

History of Sevilla City

Let’s talk a little bit about Sevilla’s history. Sevilla is an old city about two years old. The name “Hispalis” in the period when it was built by the Romans. It was conquered by Vandals and Visigoths after the Roman Empire collapsed in the 5th century. Not too long ago in 712 the Andalusian emirates from North Africa took the city. At the time, Muslim Arabs dominated the continent as a very important city on the territory of southern Spain.

The city gains its prestige only after it has been passed down by the Christians. When Spain’s married Isabel of Castile and Isabel of Aragon and Fernando merged the kingdoms of Spain as scattered as it was then, Spain is taking back all the land from the Muslims.

In the same period, with the support of Christopher Columbus from the Spanish queen Isabel, instead of going to India to find India, she finds a coincidental American continent. Sevilla is a very important center and a rich port city in the flow of all the riches carried from the new continent to Spain.

When I returned to the hostel in the evening, I found a very warm environment inside. This is the reason why I like Sevilla and the hostel I stayed in. These are the warm conversations and friendships. An American lawyer named Jacob went out to have a snack with a friend. We went to one of the bicycle points at every corner of the city where you can hire bicycles for 2 euros with your credit card and rented two bikes.

Sevilla’s Tapas Bars

Small but I like a hell of a crowded tapas sangria and tapas. It was so crowded that it took us fifteen minutes to order. We could finally put what we bought into a little wall-mounted, like a sephala, to the right of the photo. We could only find a place from the crowd. After a pleasant conversation and a few sangrens who fell behind him, we decided to jump on the bikes and go to the hostel, take our cameras and take the night shots. Well we have tried this work; in two hours we took the dust of the historic city and there were photos I liked …

Seville University and Carmen Opera

The next morning for breakfast I met a German girl named Vivian. He also came to Sevilla University to master this city. We decided to go sightseeing together. First, we went to college to get his job done at school. Thanks to him, I had the chance to visit this famous building. The beautiful cigarette girl named Carmen, the subject of the famous Karmen Opera, is an old cigarette factory, and this cigar is cigared.

Real Alcazar Palace

Later on, we visited the Real Alcazar palace which was built by Muslims and remained even from the period of Visigoths, the last of which was given by Catholic Spanish King I. Pedro. The architectural style of buildings built by Muslims and expanded by Christians is called “Mudejar”. The Real Alcazar palace is one of the palaces that best reflects this architectural style.

Another important feature of this palace is that it was from Isabel’s Christopher Columbus and other mariners who would discover the New World …

Santa Cruz Jewish Quarter

On the evening of my second day in the city, we visited the Santa Cruz neighborhood on the north side of the Cathedral. In this Jewish Ghetto neighborhood there are restored houses with characteristic window bars, bars and restaurants that are full of evenings. Diego Velazquez, one of Spain’s greatest painters, emerged from this location. You may also want to take a look at the Prado Museum Works, a collection of paintings by famous painters such as Velazquez and Goya.

Seville Cathedral & La Giralda Tower

On my last day in Sevilla, I went to visit the cathedral, famous for its bell tower called La Giralda in the city. This cathedral, one of the largest gothic cathedrals in Europe, rises up in place of a glass that was previously built by the Arabs. The cathedral was built in 1401 and finished in a hundred years. The famous bell tower Giralda has undergone restoration while it was a minaret of the original plan.

On the last day in the afternoon I decided to reroute the old city center, which I now know well, with my bicycle. When I came out of the hostel and crossed the Triana bridge to the old city center, I did not stop biking down the bicycle path along the coast of Guadalquivir. I was delighted to see people running, hovering, jumping, cycling along this path between the Triana bridge and the Isabel bridge.

Plaza de Espana Palace

Although I did not go inside this bike ride, I went to the Plaza de Espana. When you go to this majestic sarcophagus in the afternoon, you can witness the flamenco musicians enjoy music festivals in every corner as people float on the water in the monument pool in the square.
